Association for Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) conference
September 28 @ 9:00 am – October 2 @ 1:30 pm
The annual Association for Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) conference will run virtually from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. PT from Monday, September 28, to Friday, October 2.
Here’s the schedule and links to more information. All participants supported by the State Library will be required to share information they’ve learned (whether through in-house training, staff meetings, blog post, or other form to be determined) and complete a follow-up survey to help us evaluate the value of the conference. Scholarship recipients must agree to attend at least three days, or six sessions, at the conference. Public library employees from small and/or rural libraries may apply for a scholarship no later than August 25, 2020. Former rural-/small-library employees who were furloughed or laid off because of the pandemic are also welcome to apply.
All applicants must have the approval of their library director. The California State Library will respond to your application shortly after the scholarship application dates listed above for each conference. Please contact Bev Schwartzberg with any questions.
