Introducing Appreciative Inquiry Into Your Library: A Positive Approach to Change (Part 2)

July 22 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Register for this two-part 90-minute virtual workshop.

Would you like to engage and energize your workforce, improve morale and inject the power of positivity into your library’s culture?

Traditionally, when problem solving, organizations tend to focus on what’s not working. This causes them to adopt ‘root cause’ mindsets, only to find themselves facing a set of different, but related questions down the line.

This 2-part workshop will introduce you to a highly effective alternative to traditional “problem-focused” approaches through the practice of Appreciative Inquiry.

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a strengths-based, positive approach to leadership development and organizational change. At its heart, AI is about the search for the best in people, their organizations, and their communities. AI is not so much a shift in the methods and models of organizational change, but a fundamental shift in the overall perspective to ‘see’ and to ‘inquire’ into our strengths, possibilities, and successes. Have you or your library ever questioned:

How can we fix our lack of engagement?
What do we do about low motivation?
Why are people just not on board?

Appreciative Inquiry can not only help to address these common challenges but actually change how we approach them!

Join us for this interactive webinar for an introduction to AI and its practice and learn how teams and organizations use AI to understand best practices, develop strategic plans, shift culture, and create forward momentum on small and large-scale initiatives.

This webinar will be of interest to: Library staff interested in learning about how the practice of Appreciative Inquiry can be used to bring change to their library.
