Introducing Appreciative Inquiry Into Your Library: A Positive Approach to Change

Traditionally, when problem solving, organizations tend to focus on what’s not working. This causes them to adopt ‘root cause’ mindsets, only to find themselves facing a set of different, but related questions down the line.
This 2-hour workshop presented via Zoom will introduce you to a highly effective alternative to traditional “problem-focused” approaches through the practice of Appreciative Inquiry. Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a strengths-based, positive approach to leadership development and organizational change. At its heart, AI is about the search for the best in people, their organizations, and their communities. AI is not so much a shift in the methods and models of organizational change, but a fundamental shift in the overall perspective to ‘see’ and to ‘inquire’ into our strengths, possibilities, and successes.
