Research from various fields demonstrates resounding evidence that Social Emotional Learning (SEL) can have positive short-term and long-term impacts on various aspects of young people’s lives. From improved academic performance and behavior to better lifetime outcomes, SEL can be a critical factor in supporting children and youth.
Utilizing the framework from the Center for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), this course will teach you to assess your own social emotional competencies, promote promising practices to support these critical competencies within your youth programs, and explore lifelong benefits for personal and professional well-being and success.
