November 6 – November 8
The symposium will take place virtually November 6 – 8, 2020 with a theme of Biggest Little Spaces: How Libraries Serve the Expanding Worlds of Teens. Libraries offer safe spaces for teens through inclusive programming, diverse collections, outreach, advocacy, and partnerships. The YALSA symposium will cover a wide spectrum of topics about services for and with young adults. Check out the YALSA program! Session content is focused around key issues in YALSA’s recent report.
Please note that the event runs from Friday night through Sunday. Because of this schedule, if you apply to participate, you must either have the approval of your library director (if you are attending on work time) or agree to participate on your own time. CALL will not be supporting registration costs for pre-conferences.
The Young Adult Services Symposium is open to everyone, not just YALSA members. California library staff members who have been laid off or furloughed due to the pandemic are eligible to apply.
