Welcome to California Libraries Learn (CALL), the continuing education platform for our state’s public library staff. CALL brings together the California State Library and the California Library Association to provide and promote the learning that YOU want.

Our new website features the calendar of upcoming trainings and a link to CALL Academy, self-guided learning available 24/7. We invite you to explore the site. It’s still under construction, and we hope you will let us know of any glitches or omissions. (What you see may depend on the screen or device you’re using, as I learned when creating my CALL Academy login and had to reduce my viewing window by hitting CTRL-minus!)

Thanks to the many people and partners who work with CALL. You’ll hear this language a lot, and we really mean it: CALL is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian. Without these funds and the support of State Librarian Greg Lucas, CALL could not provide such a wide range of training. We ask you to share your responses, ideas, thanks, and critiques so that we can plan for the present and future of professional development.
